I'm sitting here, debating. I know I'm going to preorder. I have to say guys. They really impressed me with the MAJOR changes they made in Beta 2. I really think they took all of our input that we were screaming about (s ave the charater models, which from Floons latest comments, seems really hard coded into the AC engine they are using). They've impressed me that much with the improvements. The problem, is I don't know if I'm going to go the $199 route, or the $9.99 route. I mean, look at how much time we gave MxO. I can definitely see giving this the same amount of time, if not more. Plus, I mean, come on. It's Tolkien. It's me. I mean, it's obvious. But I swear to god, if SOE buys this game, I'm going to go ballistic and kill someone.

They've had AC1 and AC2 for a while now haven't they? I really don't see SOE getting their hands on this *knock wood*...I think Turbine has put too much blood, sweat and tears into it to let it go any time soon.
Can you buy the lifetime membership yet, or do we have to wait for open beta?

Nah, they won't get it.
I've been hearing interesting rumors regarding sales figures for this game.
The word "Million{s}" has been tossed about.

Of course, I signed up for lifer. I do hope they add in tons of social stuffs. And/or address some of the things in game such as sitting down and drinking. It's the little stuff that keeps my attention.

I did the $9.99 thing, just the notion of signing up for life with ANY gaming company regardless of price or product just doesn't sit well with me. As for blood, sweat, and tears . . . I'm sure the boys over at SIGIL had big plans for their MMO creation too, until the arse fell out of their subscription base and they cut their losses. The gaming community is fickle at best, and you just never know what's gonna work and what won't. Suffice to say though, that if LOTRO does end up in the MMO graveyard that is SOE's Station Pass, I will never be logging in to Middle Earth again, ever.
