I read some of the same information on gamespy, but they didn't have the book 10 information. I really like that Turbine is trying to keep this game fresh. I don't know how much of it I will be able to get to after August though.

But didn't you see they are planning the next expansion pack to WoW. No doubt you will have to buy it though.
I am impressed that Turbine is throwing out the new content for no extra charge.

They are planning? Did you say . . . P L A N N I N G ?? Blizzard has made money hand-over-fist with World of Warcraft, and it took them 2 1/2 years to release their first content update. When that update was finally released in February of this year, Blizzard had already made close to $2Billion off the sale and subscription fees for the original WoW game alone. Then they had the temerity to charge a full-priced $39.99 for the much-anticipated expansion pack 'The Burning Crusade' . . . and apparently sold over 3 million copies within the first 48 hours. Now let me see . . . wait a second while I do the math . . . $40 x 3 million is ahh, $120million in the first 48 hours!!!! When you consider that the average cost in developing an MMORPG these days is apparently $30 - $40million dollars, that's developing a game from concept to delivery mind you, how can/could Blizzard justify charging a whopping $40 just for an expansion pack? And let's be honest, the BC expansion offered nothing new other than flying mounts and a couple of new race characters. Yep, more of the same stuff drawn a little differently, more repetitive quests and grinding, some new scenery and color schemes but hey, it only took them 2 1/2 years to come up with all that! So, when I see a news-ticker bit-piece that says Blizzard is announcing they are developing another expansion for WoW . . . forgive me if I don't get excited about the possibility of waiting another 2 years to give another $40 to the greediest, most consumer-unfriendly, rip-off shit company in the gaming business. Yeah, SOE are the Devil and all that, but Blizzard is a self-made abomination that rivals the big-oil companies for pure exploitation and gouging. f**k Blizzard ! OK, I'm done.

WooT !! Captain's may now get some respect! What do I mean by that, you wonder? Well, you guys know what it's like when grouping with a Captain but the majority of the players in-game don't seem to, probably because Captain is the most underplayed class at the moment. When people are LFF spamming, you always see them asking for Minstrels, or DoT's, or 'need tank'. Nobody ever asks for Captains, not because we suck but more because they don't know and appreciate how useful we can be in a fellowship. Month of the Captain, I loooove it! Get some travelling rations boys and girls, my horn has been viagra-ized and lasts forever now.

Sorry had to laugh. It took me 4 months to drop that game when I actually realized quest to the top then raid, raid, raid. That's the exact reason why I'm scared about LOTRO when I learned it was quest to the top, then raid. However you want to put it. It took Blizzard 63million to develop World of Warcraft mmo. Yeah, some dont care for it. But the fact remains, the popular story was already set in place for a decade, The mmo market was flourishing, and they provided a entertainment in which everyone could do. Besides whatever reason people can come up with to hate WoW and Blizzard, they did a bang up job making money. ;D

I'm pretty happy...extra vault space, ore-node-tracking while mounted, one shot recipes no longer require specific mob drops...I got into a pug for book 10 last night and had a lot of fun with it. The rewards were poop, but the story was good. The quests are geared for small fellowships and the only real challenge we had was around chp 11 I think.
Little piece of advice...if you see a Troll in the Ettenmoors...you do what we do...run...run your ass off.
