Okay, I have searched the LOTRO forums and haven't found anything helpful. I am having some real frustrations with conjunctions. I have read they are bugged, but I am not sure if that's the full story. If I am doing something wrong, I'd like to know, and before I ask the question on the LOTRO forums, I thought I'd try this (kinder, gentler group first...
Here's the typical situation:
1) I am not targeted on the mob -- of course I am not, I am the healer after all. Jimli or Palenen would have my hide (and rightly so) if I wasn't primarily targeting them.
2) The conjunction starts so I get the bullseye icon (precisely because I am not targeted on the mob) and click it.
3) I am now targeted on the mob, but the ring at its feet is orange and I therefore cannot yet participate in the conjunction.
4) The only way I have found to solve the problem (i.e., get the ring to change from orange to red) is to get close enough to the mob to auto-attack with my sword (i.e., get within melee range and right click the mob).
5) To avoid AoE's, generally pay attention and manage my own aggro, I am usually not standing next to the mob, and therefore have to run over to it in order to achieve the red target ring at the mob's feet.
Accordingly and almost obviously, by the time I have resolved the "orange ring of complete frustration", the conjunction is over and I have failed to participate in it.
GRRRR!
What am I doing wrong? Any help/tips/insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
