Question on stats...

Is it worth it if you gain:

+24 Armour
+45 Vital
+7 Fate
+45 Max Power
+2% Wound
+1% Incoming Heal

to lose:

-15 Might
-16 Agility

Im thinking yes simply because Might and Agility are fairly everywhere on many different pieces. What say you! lol

I would say yes, too, but I have never tried the tank role.

Might/Agility seem more like DPS attributes (though Agility helps evade etc)

whereas the other stats focus on survivabilty. +45 Vitality --
I think that's +135 morale with +OCMR! Nice.

Maybe go to the MM and solo a few trolls with each and see how it goes? ;D

Now heres the story. Before I had rejoined, Ailianna asks me if I was interested in High Protector's Shoulder Guards. I was like, Shoot yeah! I have the Helmet and started to research these stats. Some have said the Rift gear is better but I have to disagree. She mentioned she may get them cheap even. I was like, oh yeah? Just how much, I have 4 gold. LOL!! Id be willing but said I seriously doubt anyone would go for that. She then said hang on. I then started to pick the stats and compare the two. Since I rejoined and posted this message. Im positive the shoulders are gone now. heh Ah well.

What Ailianna didn't tell you was that those shoulder guards were in my possession. She was being rather coy about the whole thing. I didn't know they were for you and she didn't tell you I had them. She wanted it to be a surprise. When she told me they were for you I would have given them to you. But in talking to her, I thought the Rift set would be better and all she needed was a couple of rift coins to get them. She said she had lots of Rift coins and would go get them. I don't know whatever happened with that. She did talk to me later about giving them to you anyway, which I would have. But by that time I had put them on the AH and couldn't cancel the auction.

You are right the Rift shoulder guards by themselves are not better. But you get a set bonus if you have the guards and the helm. I have them on Jimli I will have to check to see what the stats are for the set.

Sorry the whole thing ended up being a misunderstanding. No big deal though. We can always get more. What's another couple dozen Helegrod runs? ;D

Dingy Blondes!

I had three pieces of the four in possession. The HP shoulders were on the AH so was about to get their stats. The numbers above are comparisons of the Rift Coin set Helm and Shoulders and the two pieces of the High Protector's set Helm and Shoulders. All stats nagate each other except the ones above I posted. Well, until you get your gems for your Rift set.

It's funny you bring this up, as I'm seriously considering doing these on a weekly basis if I can get away with it (read: get a Song off Soothing of to remove wife aggro). On top of this, The Team is seriously considering a new looting system (NOT DKP) that will be much more fair than our current system, and also work well with having members of our sister kinships on board.

That said, Ailianna had some folks join us in Helegrod the other night, and for the life of me I can't remember a) their leader's name and b) their kinship name. Any of you guys remember? I know Ali does.

I wouldn't mind running Helegrod more often than I do. I don't know that I could go every weekend. I have the same issue that Artie mentioned.

But more often than I do run it, would be fun. Might finally get some of those quests out of my log.
