And in the redneck hillbilly translation. Howdy Y'all!
Really don't know where to begin so I'll just blirt it all out. Name is Jeff. Born and raised in Kentucky, USA and reside now in Cincinnati, OH. Until I moved back. I'm the ripe young age of 40 and have been expericing multiplayer games since dial up days say 17 years ago. The real time action was always my fix.
Since the internet came around in 1994, It was DOS Netmech and space flight sims with other firing blasters in your face. Then found UO but did not keep attention long due to the topographical view. I loved the first person. I loved being the character and development of that person. Of course im skipping but can add in many muds back in the day, diablo series, starcraft etc. Then I stopped by one of my friends house one day and experieced him running back to retrieve his corpse. Yep EQ and just a couple months after release. I quickly ran to the store then 4 years later. I left EQ for SWG. If anyone has experienced SWG for what it was in the beginning to just over a year when they added Jump to Lightspeed. Simply a fantastic game. We all know the story from there. Have tried DAOC, Jumpgate, EVE, EnB and even put forth a tremendous effort towards WoW but could not take it after 4 months. Something was just not the same as what the original EQ and SWG had.
I've haunted the MEO forums since May '03 and since LOTRO forums in hopes I would find the social aspect again. I'm still in hopes. There is always hope. I've come to realize within the past couple months that I've been missing the family feel of being in a kinship and am striving to find a place to call home. I am extremely casualy player. Took me 2 months to 30 when others hit it in a couple weeks. I never really played a tank up until LOTRO came around and that was the only thing I wanted to do. So the longbeard guardian was formed. Since the last wipe of closed beta, Ive strayed to the elf-kind and have stuck with it. Even in progress of learning some standard sayings and phrases to make my experience a bit more in depth. Since open beta and now live, its been very difficult but I see the need to be in a kinship.
Im not very eloquent with writing and words. Not much of a forum hound to post everyday. And usually, my words read different that what I mean. I'm in hopes I can receive the chance to join a established kinship thats been around for some time now. Thanks for living through my breath of hot air. ;D
